Judging the Book By Its Cover

The packaging is clear plastic so you can see exactly what you’re getting. It’s a nice matte black finish an orange accent, but it also comes in other colours.. I like that it comes with its own sachets of lube. I’m never a fan of the lube that comes with toys. This is more of a personal preference. But I always appreciate a little goody bag! It also has a nifty lid which hides the opening, a.k.a., where you’re going to stick your dick in. The lid also attaches to the rear end of the toy. It has a flat end so you can rest it like a beer can in case you need a break. Going inside is where the fun is really at!

You flip the toy open to reveal a sleeve full of small orange balls encased in bumpy elastomer. If you’ve never had an elastomer toy, it’s a jelly-like sensation which feels amazing on the skin. The orange orbs itself are firm, but the elastomer provides a soft sensation to it. The orbs are placed strategically in such a way that when you use the toy, each orb and their bumps will essentially surround your shaft giving you a full 360° sensation. Using the above picture as a reference, you can see one orb placed near the apex, or the entrance, of the toy which provides great sensation for just the tip if you don’t want to shove your whole dong in the damn thing.

I was pleasantly surprised when the Flip Orb threw me a curveball of sensations. I first started with just putting in the tip of my dick in the toy to play around with the first orb. One of the great features of the Flip Orb is that the sides (the ones where you see the circles) are squeezable which means you can apply pressure when needed. This also means that due to the nature of thermoplastic elastomer and the combined squeezing action, it creates a vacuum which will suck your dick further into the toy. The transition from frenulum to full shaft was quite surprising because I didn’t expect the suction to be so effective. Not once did I ever feel any sort of discomfort, so I went on for quite a long time (read: 2 hours).

What I admire about Tenga is that they know their demographic: horny, lazy men. Cleaning is just as easy as using it. Wash the toy inside and out with warm water, pat dry, and use the flat-based cap to rest the toy open to air dry.

Final Thoughts

Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to look at. I highly enjoyed using this toy and it has a lot of reusability. Perfect for when you wanna marathon porn and just edge all day long, but also perfect for just a really quick session. I also love that it’s beer-can sized, so you can bring it with you on trips. If you’re going to buy a masturbator for the first time, you can’t go wrong with Tenga. They put a lot of thought in to all their products whether they’re reusable or disposable. The design of the toy was made with intention and care, and I cannot praise Tenga enough for the happy dick it has left me.

Cons: Honestly? None. If I’m going to cherry pick any sort of con, I would like it to have a mechanical feature, but that’s asking the world.

Highlights: Easy to use and incorporate in the bedroom/bathroom, great for beginners starting their sex toy journey, great for solo and partner play.

Room for improvement: Would be nice to have a case like their other products.
